Pawsibilities

Pawsibilities is a small foster based rescue in Windsor, Missouri that greatly needs OUR help! They do not have a facility but rely heavily on fosters in the community to assist them in meeting the needs of the animals! Their mission is to rescue dogs that are needing to be rehomed, have been abandoned, abused, lost, sick, injured or on the verge of euthanasia. Once rescued, the furry pups are vaccinated and altered. Most of the rescued animals are provided foster homes and the very loving foster families are more then willing to socialize and train the animals to get them ready for adoption. It is very important that the family who adopts one of their rescues animals is the right family for them based on the dogs personality. They deserve a happy ever after, too!

Our goal is to help animals in Missouri who are discarded, abandoned or suffering from neglect regain their confidence and health, while in search of their happily ever after. Nothing compares to helping a homeless animal heal and find their forever home. We have no “facility.” If you are interested in fostering or adopting, please call/text 660-351-5879 or email: pawsibilities@ymail.com

Current Needs:
Canned cat and dog food. We could use canine toothpaste, toothbrushes and flea and tick shampoo with oatmeal as part of our routine is giving each dog that comes in an immediate bath, brush their teeth and clean their ears and we run out of these supplies quickly. In addition, we would greatly appreciate any dry dog food donations to assist with the dogs we’ll be placing with our boarding fosters!

Current supplies in need: Cat Litter, Dry Cat Food, Cat Houses

We no longer have any of our dogs in boarding, all the dogs brought in to the rescue go right into foster homes.
We now pull from 6 different shelters in Missouri and still assist with strays and rehoming as we can.

Any donation is appreciated!

If you would like to foster for Pawsibilities, please email us for an application at pawsibilities@ymail.com

mama
MAMA, Adult Domestic Long Hair, Large, Black

Mama was a stray that lived outside the first 5 years of her life. She has been indoors now for 6 months and rather enjoys it.

Mama is a lap cat. She loves to be petted and adored. She will play at times but not a high energy cat.

Mama doesn’t mind dogs at all and does good with most cats. Thier has been a cat here and there that for whatever reason she didn’t care for. She had not been around children but I feel with her calm demeanor she would do fine.

Mama is vaccinated, on flea preventative, spayed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $75.

angus
ANGUS, Adult Medium Male, Domestic Short Hair, Black & White\Tuxedo

This is Angus. When Angus came into the rescue he had a large, deep, open wound going half way around his neck. It was obvious someone at sometime in his life had tied a wire or string around his neck that cut into him. It took several months of treatment for it to heal properly.

Angus also is FIV+. FIV stands for feline immunodeficiency virus. FIV typically causes a weakening of the cat’s immune system. It is the same class of virus as HIV (a lentivirus); however, only cats can get FIV. People and dogs cannot. To look at and play with him you would never know he has FIV.

He is the biggest sweetheart and loves playing. Angus is vaccinated, neutered, on flea medicine and microchipped. His adoption fee is $75.

phoebe

PHEOBE, Large, Senior, Female, German Shepherd Mix

Phobe (aka Precious) is a German Shepherd mix, female, who just finished heartworm treatment and is fostered in Kansas City, Mo.

Phoebe is an absolute dream dog if you want a quiet, easy to manage dog. She is wonderful on a leash, rides in the car like a pro and only barks when a stranger comes in the house or when her foster mom comes home. She doesn’t jump except for a few very excited moments after her foster gets home from work. She is tolerant of the cat except at moments when she has a bout of jealousy.

She is very polite at doors and gates, doesn’t rush out and waits to be invited through. On the leash she is even with or slightly behind you, she never runs ahead or pulls.

She was listed as being 12 years old but I recently took her to a secondary vet who thought she was more likely to be 8 or 9.

$135 adoption fee.

Phobe needs to be adopted roughly an hour of her location.

atlas

ATLAS, Staffordshire Bull Terrier & Pointer Mix, Adult Male, Medium

Meet Atlas! Pawsibilities’ big softie who wants nothing more than the chance to have a family that he deserves and the companionship of his people. Atlas loves to cuddle and snuggle under the blankets. He’s a good boy and takes treats gently, is house trained, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.

Atlas is good with cats and will do better in a home with calm or no doggy siblings as hyper or growly dogs make him nervous. He loves to play outside with his foster family’s dogs.

Atlas was born with an eye condition that caused discomfort and vision problems. All he needed was a simple surgery, unfortunately Atlas’ first owners neglected to do that. Our friends at Angels Furever Foundation generously funded his surgery which meant Atlas could start to see properly again. Atlas needs daily eye drops which he he takes easily.
